Job summary

Spymca is seeking a part-time lifeguard to ensure pool safety, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies. The role includes monitoring chemical levels, maintaining logs, and recording usage counts across multiple shifts.

The position offers a day-to-day schedule with flexible hours, plus the listed YMCA benefits and a chance to contribute to a safe aquatic environment for all patrons.

Qualifications

• Swim 150 yards continuously; then tread water for 2 minutes; swim 50 yards more.
• Aquatics background with lifeguard experience preferred.
• Be alert for extended periods and respond calmly to pool events.
• Tolerate chlorine and temperatures up to 90°F with high humidity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool patrons and enforce pool rules.
• Respond promptly to aquatic emergencies and incidents.
• Check chemical levels and maintain pool logs and records.
• Track usage counts and support the shifts available.
