Job summary

RANE Property Management, LLC is seeking a Seasonal Part Time Lifeguard to monitor the pool, enforce rules, and perform rescues as needed. You will maintain safety, supervise swimmers, and provide first aid and CPR when required.

This role requires current lifeguard certification, CPR and first aid, and a successful in-water skills test. Starting wage is $20.00 per hour plus potential year-end bonus, with daily onsite pool hours from 11am to dusk.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous surveillance of pool and pool deck whenever guests are in the pool
• Absolutely NO CELL PHONE USE when there are residents in the pool or on the pool deck
• No family or personal guests are allowed while on duty
• Enforce Pool Rules. See attached.
• Perform rescue or first aid in the event of a swimming accident
• Contact management and/or 911 (when required) and maintain incident reports
• Ensure all pool equipment is set up and stored correctly
• Maintain the appearance of the pool and deck area
• If a schedule change is needed, contact other lifeguards to find a replacement and notify the head lifeguard/community manager of the change
• Any and all duties as assigned

Schedule: Pool opens 11am - Dusk/9pm Everyday Onsite

POSITION SUMMARY

A Lifeguard is responsible for surveying the RANE property pool and conducting rescues to help weak or injured swimmers get to safety. Their duties include speaking with swimmers to enforce swimming rules keeping track of each swimmer in the water and administering first aid to injured swimmers. This position warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies. If necessary, administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Current Lifeguard Certification
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Successful completion of a pre-employment in-water practical skills test
• Rane will reimburse CRP Certification

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 16 years or older
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally
• Use of good judgement in making decisions
• Should possess leadership skills and be able to effectively manage others

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and on occasion assist or lift persons in distress of varying weights
• Required to remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing, or walking for various lengths of time
