Midwest Pool Management is hiring lifeguards and headguards for the summer season. We manage swimming pools all over St. Louis and the surrounding areas. Some facilities are indoor and run year‑round. The lifeguard starting pay rate is $15.50. Please read below for the job description and expectations.

All applicants must be 15 years or older by the date of their lifeguard certification class.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Participate in regular in‑service training.
• Keep pool facilities clean and appealing.
• Proactively address guest needs by answering questions, giving directions, and providing information.
• Ensure the safety of guests.
• Know the programming the facility provides (swim lessons, family fun days, water aerobics, swim team, tot time, river walking, etc.).
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude, representing Midwest Pool Management and the facility.
• Know the schedule and arrive to work on time.
• Wear the required company uniform while on duty.

Basic Qualifications

• Part‑time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong observational skills to identify guest needs and enforce safety guidelines.
• Strong verbal communication skills to engage with guests, team members, and management.

Other Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to swim.
• Lifeguard certification (StarGuard Elite or equivalent).
• Lifeguard training is available and must be successfully completed.
