Job summary

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or Shallow Water Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED).
• Willing to train for certification if needed.
• PA Criminal Background Check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons and secure safety in emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrives.
• Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Inspect the facility daily and report unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Test chemical levels and report results.
• Present professional appearance and maintain high customer service standards.
• Perform maintenance duties to keep the facility clean and safe.
• Prepare and maintain activity reports.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
• Weekend and holiday work required.

Job Duties

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.
• Test chemical levels and report results to supervisor.
• Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
• Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Prepare and maintains appropriate activity reports.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays - Daily work hours are subject to change throughout the Escape Pool season.

Position Requirements

• Must have current certification from the American Red Crossin Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED or Shallow Water Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED. If in need of a certification or re-certification, must be willing to train.
• Prior experience preferred.
• Complete PA Criminal Background Check
