Job summary

LIVunLtd is hiring a Lifeguard in New York, responsible for maintaining a safe pool environment and delivering exceptional customer service. Under supervision, you will enforce rules, monitor patrons, and respond to emergencies with trained CPR/AED techniques.

You should hold CPR, AED, Lifeguard and First Aid certifications, be able to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends, and communicate effectively with guests. Cleanliness and adherence to LIVunLtd policies are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool area.
• Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations, including water rescues and providing first aid when necessary.
• Direct swimmers in and out of the pool in hazardous conditions.
• Maintain and complete required trainings and applicable certifications such as CPR, First Aid, Lifeguarding, AED, etc.
• Ensure that you provide a high level of customer service in every interaction with clients.
• Perform any and all cleaning duties as assigned.
• Adhere and adapt to all current and new LIVunLtd policies, procedures and initiatives.
• Report any unsafe conditions or situations that require attention to your LIVunLtd manager.
• Wear corporate/building approved uniform for each specific LIVunLtd location where you are working.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities specific to the location/building and upon the request of your manager.

Position Overview

As a Lifeguard you are responsible, have a positive attitude, and have a knack for exceptional customer service. Under general supervision, lifeguards will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons within the pool area(s) by preventing and responding to emergencies. Lifeguards at LIVunLtd must always be alert, reliable, and have a strong work ethic.

Skills And Qualifications

• Qualified applicants must be CPR, AED, Lifeguard and First Aid certified.
• Applicants must pass a written test prior to completing the hiring process.
• Previous lifeguarding and customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate in multiple languages is an additional asset.
• Flexibility to work days, nights and / or weekends.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb, stand for long durations of time and lift at least 50 pounds at a time.
