Fulton County, GA in the Department of Senior Services seeks a dedicated pool attendant to enforce pool rules and safety. You will monitor swimmers, perform safety checks, provide first aid and CPR, and maintain pool chemistry and cleanliness while ensuring a welcoming environment for the public and program participants.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and one year of work experience; valid lifeguard, CPR, first aid and AED certifications are required for employment.
High School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by one year of work experience that shows an ability to maintain steady employment in any field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must possess and maintain the following certifications: Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED.
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.

The examination will consist of an evaluation of education and experience, accomplished by analysis of the application. Application must document that the applicant possesses the minimum knowledge, skills, education and experience as listed to be rated as qualified. If selected, an official, accredited college transcript is required, at time of employment, for all degrees/course work used to qualify for this position.

The purpose of this classification is to enforce pool rules and regulations and monitor pool use for the safety of the general public.

May assist with teaching swimming lessons, water aerobics, or other aquatics-related classes and special events. Performs other related duties as required.
