Job summary

The City of Alvin seeks a lifeguard to help keep the community's aquatic facilities safe. Under general supervision you will monitor swimmers, prevent and respond to emergencies, enforce facility rules, and deliver courteous customer service.

Requirements include current Red Cross lifeguard certification or ability to obtain before starting, basic first aid and CPR, and morning shift availability; substitutions for recognized lifeguard programs allowed. The starting pay is $10.20 per hour.

• Applicants must be able to work morning shifts.
• Current Red Cross lifeguard certification or the ability to obtain prior to starting work.
• Recognized lifeguard training program other than Rec Cross may be substituted.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification.
