Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio invites applications for the Associate Director of Life and Social Justice. Working with the Director, you will promote Catholic Social Teaching, coordinate resources for parishes, schools and Catholic organizations, and lead ministries including Deaf Ministry and Wellness Ministry.

The role requires a Masters in Theology or related field, at least three years of experience with two years supervisory, and strong leadership, communication and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Church Leadership and/or Social Teaching or comparable field.
• Minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the areas of responsibility.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Must be a Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church.
• Reliable transportation; valid driver license and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director for Life & Social Justice to set short- and long-term goals and operating procedures.
• Develop formation and workshops aligned with the Department for Pastoral Ministries’ guidelines.
• Provide trainings on Life and Social Justice for parish leaders and the faithful.
• Maintain contact information for parish leadership and build partnerships with church organizations.
• Supervise ministry directors and assist with budget and administrative tasks.
• Support pastors and parish ministers in Church teachings on life and social justice.
