Job summary

Stanford Radiology in Stanford, CA, is seeking a Life Science Research Professional 2 to perform complex research tasks on defined projects and contribute to innovative imaging and cancer biology studies.

You will design and troubleshoot experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring safety and compliance. A PhD or related experience is preferred.

This role involves laboratory work, data interpretation, literature reviews, and contributing to publications.

Qualifications

• Equivalent working experience or Ph.D. in stem cell biology, immunology, or related field.
• Post-doctoral experience preferred in stem cell biology, cancer biology, immunology, or related field.
• Extensive experience with molecular biology, mouse work, flow cytometry, cell sorting, cell culture, RNA-sequencing, and microscopy.
• Additional experience in computational biology is welcome.
• Ability to independently design and troubleshoot experiments.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct a portion of research projects.
• Make recommendations on experimental design.
• Perform complex lab experiments to gather data for a major project.
• Interpret results and modify procedures as needed.
• Develop new research protocols when literature lacks guidance.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
• Review current literature to stay updated and apply findings.
• Contribute to manuscript writing and present at conferences.
• Oversee lab budget for supplies and equipment.
• Ensure lab compliance with safety policies.
• Supervise staff or students as needed.
• Manage daily lab operations and stock.
