Job summary

Team QLI in Omaha, NE is seeking a Life Path Assistant (CNA) to support residents with daily activities and engaging, individualized programs. You will help residents prepare for their day, assist with ADLs, and participate in creative, recreational activities to enhance quality of life.

Eligible candidates include CNAs or those pursuing certification; paid training is available. The role offers meaningful patient interaction and a collaborative team environment at a leading rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver's License (required).
• Certified Nursing Assistant (required). We offer paid training if not yet certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and recreational activities.
• Help residents with iPads, apps, and games to encourage engagement.
• Read letters from loved ones or help create personalized crafts.

Role Snapshot:

Working in any position in a healthcare setting has its challenges. This is where the Life Path Assistant gets to shine! You will be in the unique position to bring joy and purpose to our residents with everyday activities built around what each individual wants—not just a large group of everyone being forced to attend the same event. Your day will include opportunities to help get residents ready for the day so they can fully-participate in the quality of life they deserve. As a C.N.A., you would provide assistance with ADL’s or other recreational activities. You will experience variety in your shifts:

• One day you may spend time assisting residents navigate their iPads to find new apps or games to master
• One day might consist of helping residents read letters they have received from loved ones or help them make a one-of-a-kind birthday card to send to their nephew.
• One day you may spend time in the sports (non-alcoholic) bar making Shirley Temples and Roy Rogers or watching the latest championship game or match on ESPN
• One day might consist of creating adaptive ways for all to enjoy painting, knitting, stenciling, or woodworking one day might consist of helping a resident complete on-line shopping or googling “games to play on a rainy day”

Education and Certifications:

• Must be 18 years or older (required)
