Ann Smith State Farm is seeking an empathetic Life Insurance Specialist to market Life/Health insurance services and products, helping families with security needs. The role emphasizes proactive outreach, reviews, and consistent follow-ups to convert opportunities into policy placements.

The position involves outbound and inbound interactions, scheduling various appointment formats, and maintaining records, while staying compliant with state insurance requirements and agency standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed for life and health insurance in the state.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Sales experience, preferably in insurance.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with insurance agency software.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and develop life insurance opportunities with new and existing customers.
• Conduct conversations to assess income, family obligations, debt, mortgage exposure, and long-term financial protection needs.
• Educate customers on life insurance options and help select coverage fitting needs and budget.
• Conduct life insurance reviews with policyholders to identify gaps and changing needs.
• Generate life insurance opportunities via outbound calls, inbound inquiries, referrals, and agency leads.
• Schedule and conduct life insurance appointments by phone, virtual meetings, and in person.
• Follow up with prospects from initial contact through application and policy placement.
• Assist customers throughout underwriting and application process.
• Maintain organized records of contacts, appointments, quotes, applications, and follow-ups.
• Aim to meet or exceed monthly life insurance sales and activity goals.
• Solicit referrals to generate additional opportunities.
• Partner with agency team members to uncover unmet life insurance needs.
• Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships with additional insurance needs.
• Provide high levels of customer service and build long-term trust-based relationships.
• Maintain required licenses and complete relevant training and compliance requirements.
• Participate in agency meetings, coaching, and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain daily activity: calls, conversations, appointments, quotes, applications, and follow-ups.
• Own individual production goals while supporting agency growth objectives.
