Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC seeks a skilled nurse to support Life Flight operations, delivering care from first contact through transfer to medical facilities. The role requires EMR documentation, adherence to Act 37 standards, and ongoing education.

You will work in aircraft environments with travel as needed, joining a dynamic flight crew during pre- and post-mission activities. CCRN/CEN/CFRN/CTRN certifications are required upon hire; CFRN within one year.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of critical care nursing experience.
• Certification such as CCRN, CEN, CFRN, or CTRN required upon hire; CFRN within one year.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in aircraft environments with exposure to noise, fumes, and variable temperatures.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care from initial contact to transfer of the patient to medical facilities.
• Maintain thorough documentation in electronic medical records.
• Practice within scope of practice and maintain competency through ongoing education.
• Communicate educational needs and participate in safety education programs.
• Manage equipment, supplies, and maintain aircraft and ground ambulance interiors.
• Serve as a flight crew member, assist pilots, and participate in pre- and post-m mission activities.
• Support specialty transports such as ECMO and NICU, ensuring safety during flight.
• Mentor and precept new staff and contribute to performance appraisals.
