Job summary

The Canopy Senior Living in Portland, OR is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to plan, organize, and implement community-sponsored programs for seniors and their families. You will work with Marketing, Dining, Wellness, and Administration to deliver engaging activities that promote socialization, education, and physical activity.

You will maintain resident activity records, coordinate the volunteer program, and provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to provide excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computers, social media, and learning new online programs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a team setting.
• Willingness to pass a criminal background check and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement community-sponsored programs for elders and families.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Dining Services, Wellness, Maintenance, and Administration to execute enrichment activities.
• Keep records of resident activity and develop monthly calendars.
• Provide high-quality service to internal and external customers and model leadership values.
• Coordinate and manage the community volunteer program.

What You’ll Do

The Life Enrichment Director plans, organizes, and implements all community-sponsored programs for our elders and their families while enriching the elders' lives by promoting elder socialization, expanding their personal interests, increasing their physical activity, and continuing their education.

As a Life Enrichment Director, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• Work collaboratively with the Marketing, Dining Services, Wellness Team, Maintenance, and Administrator to plan, coordinate and implement resident life enrichment programming.
• Keep records of resident activity.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers,
• Model the Compass Senior Living Leadership Values.
• Develop a plan and coordinate the community volunteer program.
• Plan, implement, print, and distributes a monthly calendar.
