Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC seeks a Life Enrichment Director in Hockessin, DE to lead activity programs for Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. Qualifications

• Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional eligible for certification.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program in the last five years, with one year full-time in long-term care.
• Be a Certified Dementia Practitioner or eligible for certification.
• Maintain applicable state dementia-specific training.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or eligibility to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Excellent communication, written and oral with residents, families, staff, vendors and the public.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement meaningful activity and recreational programs for IL, AL, and MC residents.
• Plan monthly activity programs for all care levels in line with Harmony guidelines.
• Meet with new residents to complete the Resident Life Profile.
• Coordinate with families and staff regarding resident participation in activities.
• Oversee the activities budget and expenses within approved guidelines.
• Provide guidance to staff on life enrichment and quality of life initiatives.
• Coordinate and oversee volunteer opportunities and supervision of volunteers.
