Job description

Life Enrichment Coordinator (Activities) Full Time (every other weekend)

Assists in the implementation of a comprehensive activities program geared to meet the spiritual, physical, social, and psychosocial needs of community residents.

1. Assist the DLE with planning, coordinating, and running all community activities.
2. Assist with the planning of the monthly activities calendar and monthly newsletter (if necessary).
3. Encourage residents to participate in community activities, assisting them to attend while supporting the resident’s independence.
4. Help with ordering supplies and equipment for regular activities.
5. May be required to attend outings off-site and help to keep track of residents, ensuring a meaningful and safe trip for all.
6. Carry out other duties as assigned by the DLE Director.
7. Help maintain the Activity Participation Tracking Chart, if applicable.
8. Assist in the success of the community Parallel Programming schedule.
9. When interacting with residents and/or family members, be mindful of the Resident’s Rights to Privacy.
10. May be required to safely drive the residents to and from the activities when needed.
11. The ability to work in a safe and alert manner.
12. The ability to take ownership for associate’s safety and the safety of the residents.
13. Must disclose any medication that might impair associate’s ability to perform the job safely or competently.
