Cedarhurst of Canton, a regional healthcare provider dedicated to older adults, is seeking a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Life Enrichment Coordinator (Activities Coordinator) at our community.

As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to positively impact residents' lives daily by planning, coordinating, and managing activities, holiday celebrations, and special events. Your efforts will help enrich residents’ minds, bodies, and spirits, leading to smiles, laughter, and vibrant hallways.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director and the Executive Director to ensure residents have access to a diverse range of activities and programs to enjoy each day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, scheduling, and leading community activities, holiday celebrations, and special events.
  • Introducing new residents and their families to the community’s enrichment programs.
  • Assisting with holiday decoration displays.
  • Contributing to resident assessments, including completing or supporting the completion of Life Stories.
  • Tracking activity attendance and communicating with families via our electronic platform.
  • Participating in monthly virtual education sessions provided by Home Office Support.
  • Driving the community bus for outings and appointments as needed.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the Life Enrichment or Executive Director.

Qualifications include:

  • A genuine passion for caring for seniors and individuals with dementia.
  • Ability to work well with others, communicate clearly, follow management guidance, and proactively meet resident needs.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings for special events.
  • A valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days.
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching/kneeling, crawling, and lifting/moving up to 50 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance.

When considering a career with Cedarhurst of Canton, please understand that:

  • Our core values—Passionate, Trustworthy, Empathetic, Positive, Respectful, Approachable—define our expectations for every team member to be a true friend to those we serve.
  • Being part of Cedarhurst of Canton means dedicating yourself to doing The Friend’s Work: reassuring, energizing, and inspiring our residents daily.
  • We value our team as our greatest asset, providing extensive training and growth opportunities.
  • We promote from within and seek team members eager to grow with us.
  • Our benefits include medical insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, and a 401(k) plan with company matching after one year of service.
  • We prioritize health and safety, conditioning employment offers on passing background checks, drug tests, COVID-19 vaccination, and other health protocols, including PPE use when required.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. We provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and encourage discussions about potential accommodations.
