Job summary

Trillium Woods LCS in Plymouth, MN is seeking an Activities Coordinator for a part-time role totaling 16 hours per week. The position supports planning, scheduling, and coordinating meaningful resident activities tailored to physical, mental, and social well-being.

You will work with the Life Enrichment team to execute programs, calendars, and events, ensuring a vibrant, inclusive community while adhering to safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead engaging group programs.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment team with planning, scheduling, and coordinating resident activities.
• Promote a healthy community culture for residents and staff.
• Provide educational opportunities on disease prevention and wellness.
• Lead daily resident activities per community standards.
• Prepare and distribute monthly calendars according to standards.

Position Summary

The Birches, Trillium Wood’s five star rated Skilled Nursing Facility, is recruiting for hospitality focused Life Enrichment Coordinators to join our team! In this role you will be responsible planning, scheduling, and coordinating meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents and conducive to their physical, mental, and social well-being.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment team with planning, scheduling, and coordinating all resident activities including special events following the Life Enrichment programs (Lifestyles and Health Services, Embrace the World, Ambassador, and Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program) on a monthly basis.
• Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees.
• Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.
• Lead daily resident activities per our community standards.
• Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to the Community standards.
• Plan and execute diverse and engaging programs to meet the needs of a diverse resident population including newly retired seniors seeking a carefree lifestyle, seniors in need of physical assistance, and seniors in varying stages of memory loss.

Qualifications

• National Certification for Activity Professionals (NCAP) certification preferred; or at least one year of experience working with older adults in a senior living setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead engaging group programs and activities.
• Enthusiastic, creative, and energetic approach to working with residents.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Compassionate, flexible, and collaborative team player.
