Job summary

Winter Growth, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Activities Coordinator to lead a Life Enrichment program for older adults and individuals with disabilities.

You will guide Life Enrichment Associates, develop participant profiles, and craft engaging, therapeutic activities that promote social connection, cognitive engagement, physical activity, and overall quality of life. This role requires strong organization, creativity, and teamwork within an interdisciplinary group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in activities coordination or related field serving older adults or people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Life Enrichment Associates (LEAs) in developing, delivering engaging, therapeutic, participant-centered activities.
• Develop participant profiles to help staff understand interests, abilities, goals, and needs.
• Create diverse programming comprising exercise, brain fitness, cultural activities, intergenerational experiences, pet therapy, healing arts, food experiences, and social activities.
• Evaluate programs and adjust based on engagement and needs.
• Develop monthly calendars and weekly staff schedules.
• Incorporate birthdays, holidays, and events into programming.
• Monitor activities to meet program, grant, funding, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Support safe arrival, departure, meals, and participant-care procedures.
• Ensure staff follow feeding and dietary guidelines as directed by clinical professionals.
• Coordinate with volunteers to enhance the activity program.
• Review and approve LEA attendance records.
• Capture photographs and documentation for families and marketing.
• Attend weekly Department Head, Interdisciplinary, and Care Plan meetings.
• Assist with quarterly grant reporting and data collection.
• Stay current with regulations applicable to adult medical day care and the Activity Department.

Winter Growth, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activities Coordinator to lead and support a dynamic Life Enrichment program for older adults and individuals with disabilities.

The Activities Coordinator plays an important role in creating meaningful experiences that promote social connection, cognitive engagement, physical activity, creativity, independence, and overall quality of life for our participants.

What You'll Do:

As our Activities Coordinator, you will:

• Lead and support Life Enrichment Associates (LEAs) in developing and delivering engaging, therapeutic, and participant-centered activities.

What We're Looking For:

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.


• At least 3 years of experience in activities coordination, therapeutic recreation, or a related field serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, or other special populations.


• Strong organizational and communication skills.


• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.


• Creativity, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to person-centered programming.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to operate a personal computer and stand for most of an eight-hour shift. The position may also require occasional lifting, rotating, repositioning, and assisting participants with transfers, including individuals who are partially or totally dependent and may require assistance from wheelchairs or other seated positions.
