Job summary

Stellar Senior Living in Tucson seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to lead and support activities for residents in assisted living and independent living. The Forum at Tucson is one of Stellar Senior Living's vibrant communities, offering a warm, active environment.

You will plan, implement and evaluate programs from exercise and sing-alongs to arts and brain games, working with residents, families and staff. Flexibility and dependability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible, dependable and a self-starter.
• Food Handlers Permit is required.
• Able to move at least 50 pounds regularly (tables and chairs).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs for residents.
• Observe attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement to evaluate progress.
• Engage residents/family in planning activities when possible.

Job Description

Life Enrichment Assistants are responsible for facilitating the planned activities in a retirement community for both assisted living and Independent Living. This involves everything from leading exercise classes andsing-alongs to brain power activities, sports and art classes and reading. Must be flexible, dependable, work well under pressure and be a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of this community
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement so that facility activities and resident progress are evaluated
• involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible

• Able to move at least 50 pounds, including tables and chair on a regular basis
