Job summary

Laurus is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant in Granger, IN to plan and perform activities that support residents' welfare and interests in a senior life connections community. This part-time role requires flexibility to work Mondays and Wednesdays with rotating Fridays and one weekend per month, with shifts between 9am and 7pm.

You will assist the Life Enrichment Director, help coordinate programs, ensure safety, and participate in setup and transportation for outings.

Qualifications

• Minimum one to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings weekends and holiday hours.
• Compassionate towards the senior population.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration of team.
• Proficient in general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with activity planning and execution.
• Support with administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain resident safety in all tasks and activities.
• Set up, clean up and upkeep of activity areas.

Position Summary

The Life Enrichment Assistant assists in planning and performing life enrichment activities that are beneficial and complimentary to the social welfare and interests of the residents of a senior life connections community.

Required Experience

• Minimum one to three years related experience andor training preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings weekends and holiday hours.

Primary Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction planning communication and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department.
• Supports the Life Enrichment Director and Life Enrichment Lead with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety.
• Support in proper set up clean up and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.
• Support transportation by attending outings coordinating relevant administrative tasks and upholding safety practices.
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.

General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to communicate effectively with others sit stand walk and use hands to handle keyboard telephone paper files and other equipment and objects.

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens.

The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
