Job summary

StoryPoint Group is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant in Iowa/Waukee for a part-time role. Pay is $15.50 per hour with a schedule that includes Tue-Thu 3-7pm, Sat 12-4pm, Sun 9am-1pm and flexible weekdays.

This position supports residents through planned activities and enrichment programs in a senior living setting. The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and a compassionate mindset towards seniors.

• Minimum one to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Compassionate towards the senior population.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with planning, communication, and execution of activities and life skills.
• Support the Life Enrichment Director and Lead with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete tasks while maintaining resident safety at a high level.
• Set up, clean, and maintain activity areas and community spaces.
• Coordinate transportation for outings and complete related administrative tasks.
• Adhere to standards in the Employee Handbook.

• Job Type: Part Time
• Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday 3-7pm, Saturday 12-4pm, Sunday 9am-1pm (weekdays can be flexible but at least two evenings will be required)
• Pay: $15.50 per hour

Position Summary:
The Life Enrichment Assistant assists in planning and performing life enrichment activities that are beneficial and complimentary to the social welfare and interests of the residents of a senior life connections community.

Required Experience for Life Enrichment Assistant:

• Minimum one to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.
• Compassionate towards the senior population.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration of team.

Primary Responsibilities for Life Enrichment Assistant:

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction, planning, communication, and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department.
• Supports the Life Enrichment Director and Life Enrichment Lead with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety.
• Support in proper setup, clean up, and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.
• Support transportation by attending outings, coordinating relevant administrative tasks, and upholding safety practices.
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.

General Working Conditions:
This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
