Independence Village Waukee is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and perform activities that enrich residents' lives at 1650 SE Holiday Crest Cir Waukee IA 50263.

This part-time role supports the Life Enrichment Director, helps plan, communicate and execute activities, and assists with department tasks while keeping resident safety a priority. The schedule includes Tue/Thu 3–7pm, Sat 12–4pm, Sun 9am–1pm, with some flexibility and at least two evenings required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years related experience or training preferred.

• Supports the Life Enrichment Director and Lead with administrative tasks as needed.

• Support setup, cleanup and upkeep of activity areas and spaces; assist with transportation for outings.

Position Summary

The Life Enrichment Assistant assists in planning and performing life enrichment activities that are beneficial and complimentary to the social welfare and interests of the residents of a senior life connections community.

Required Experience

• Minimum one to three years related experience andor training preferred

Primary Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction planning communication and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department
• Supports the Life Enrichment Director and Life Enrichment Lead with administrative tasks as needed
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety
• Support in proper setup clean up and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces
• Support transportation by attending outings coordinating relevant administrative tasks and upholding safety practices
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook

General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to communicate effectively with others sit stand walk and use hands to handle keyboard telephone paper files and other equipment and objects The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
