Job summary

Danbury Mount Vernon is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to help plan and execute activities that support the social welfare and interests of residents at a senior living community located at 1605 Venture Dr, Mt Vernon, OH 43050.

The position is part-time with a schedule of Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9am to 5pm and offers wages on demand with daily pay options. Applicants should bring compassion for seniors and basic computer skills to the role.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holiday hours.
• Compassionate towards the senior population.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.
• Proficient in general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction, planning, communication, and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department.
• Support the Life Enrichment Director and Life Enrichment Lead with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety.
• Support in proper setup, clean up, and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.
• Support transportation by attending outings, coordinating relevant administrative tasks, and upholding safety practices.
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.

Position Summary

General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
