Acts Retirement-Life Communities, Inc. is seeking a Life Engagement Coordinator in our skilled nursing neighborhood. You will plan and implement ASE-based programs and events focusing on wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality to enhance residents' quality of life.

The role emphasizes engagement across cognitive and functional levels, using Montessori-inspired principles and personal histories. Requires related degree and certifications; strong experience with older adults preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience working with older adults
• Associates degree in recreation therapy, creative arts, or a related field is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Current or eligible for certification in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or Activity Director
• Dementia engagement certification or willing to obtain within one year of employment
• Current or eligible for CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement programs and events providing residents with ASE (Acts Signature Experience) incorporating wellness, person-centered living and hospitality.
• Develop ASE activities that address body, mind and spirit to improve quality of life.
• Ensure residents with different cognitive and functional levels have meaningful engagement opportunities.
• Base programs on Montessori principles and personal histories as expressed in My Story.

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Life Engagement Coordinator in our skilled nursing neighborhood.

In this role, you will responsible for planning and implementing programs and events providing residents with Acts Signature Experience (ASE) incorporating wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality. These ASE events will encompass the three components that define life balance and are needed for improving and maintaining quality of life: body, mind, and spirit. Moreover, this position is responsible for actively ensuring that residents of differing cognitive and functional levels have opportunities for meaningful engagement consistent with the Acts engagement philosophy. The programs offered are informed by Montessori principles of resident empowerment and engagement and based upon personal history and preferences as expressed in My Story.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in recreation therapy, creative arts, and/or human services related field is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience working with older adults
• Current or eligible for certification in one of the following: Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or Activity Director
• Dementia engagement certification (or willing to obtain within one year of employment)
• Current or eligible for certification in CPR

Pay Range

$21.12 - $26.81 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
