This role focuses on goal setting, personalized wellness journeys, and coordinating events to sustain high resident satisfaction, requiring a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in recreation or life engagement, with a dementia engagement certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, fine arts, or a related human services field
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a recreation or life engagement role within a retirement community, skilled care, or assisted living environment
• Dementia Engagement certification from an approved program (or must obtain within the first year of employment)

• Plan and implement programs and events delivering the ASE wellness culture
• Foster a vibrant and engaging community environment for residents
• Lead and support engagement efforts aligned with operational and management objectives, ensuring high resident satisfaction and participation

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Life Engagement Coordinator position.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing programs and events that deliver the Acts Signature Experience (ASE) wellness culture, fostering a vibrant and engaging community environment. ASE initiatives integrate the three core dimensions of life balance (body, mind, and spirit) to support residents in enhancing and sustaining their overall quality of life. Empower residents to pursue personalized wellness journeys by creating opportunities for goal setting, growth, and meaningful engagement across all dimensions of well-being. Lead and support community engagement efforts aligned with operational and management objectives, ensuring a high standard of resident satisfaction and participation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, fine arts, or a related human services field
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a recreation or life engagement role within a retirement community, skilled care, or assisted living environment
• Certification through the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) or completion of a state-approved Activity Coordinator course is preferred
• Dementia Engagement certification from an approved program (or must obtain within the first year of employment)
• Current CPR certification is preferred but not required

Pay Range

$21.12 - $26.81 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
