Acts Retirement-Life Communities seeks a Life Engagement Assistant in our skilled nursing neighborhood. You will assist the Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing programs and events that provide residents with the Acts Signature Experience centered on wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality.

The role emphasizes meaningful engagement for residents across cognitive/functional levels, guided by Montessori principles and personal histories noted in My Story.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of activities/recreation experience.
• Dementia engagement certification or willingness to obtain within one year.
• CPR certification (current or eligible).

Responsabilités

• Assist Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing programs and events.
• Provide residents with Acts Signature Experience focusing on wellness, mind, body and spirit.
• Ensure opportunities for meaningful engagement for residents with varying cognitive/functional levels.
• Support Montessori-based resident empowerment and engagement based on personal history (My Story).

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Life Engagement Assistant in our skilled nursing neighborhood.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Life Engagement Coordinator in supporting the planning and implementing of programs and events providing residents with Acts Signature Experience (ASE) incorporating wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality. These ASE events will encompass the three components that define life balance and are needed for improving and maintaining quality of life: body, mind, and spirit. Moreover, this position is responsible for actively ensuring that residents of differing cognitive and functional levels have opportunities for meaningful engagement consistent with the Acts engagement philosophy. The programs offered are informed by Montessori principles of resident empowerment and engagement and based upon personal history and preferences as expressed in My Story.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of activities/recreation experience
• Dementia engagement certification (or willing to obtain within one year of employment)
• Current or eligible for certification in CPR
