Job Description

1. Demonstrates knowledge of age‑specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e., physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in planning care delivery.
2. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to care for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro and dementia, dialysis IV therapy, infectious disease, and wound care, if applicable.
3. Provides nursing care under Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures the safety and well‑being of the residents are maintained.
4. Maintains and updates the Texas Nursing license in compliance with Texas state regulations.
5. Acts appropriately under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing and/or Director of Nursing and acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
6. Demonstrates the ability to adjust to changes in unit/shift assignments to meet resident and facility needs.

Qualifications

• Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN or LPN) license.
