PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Kyle is seeking a licensed practical nurse/licensed vocational nurse to provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN. The role focuses on patient data gathering, reporting, and carrying out orders in an age-appropriate setting.

This position requires current LPN/LVN licensure in Texas and BLS certification. Inpatient medical-surgical experience is preferred, with additional comfort in handling vents, trachs, and PICC lines.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Emergency/critical care experience preferred.
• Comfort with vents, trachs, PICC lines preferred.
• Two years of direct patient care experience preferred.

About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Duties include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population‑appropriate manner, and following the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Other related duties may be assigned or requested.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of inpatient medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Preferred: Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
• Preferred: Comfort level working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, etc.
• Preferred: Two years of experience in direct patient care.
