Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for private duty pediatric home health. Enjoy one-on-one care in patients' homes across the Greater Houston area with flexible 8–12 hour shifts, full-time or part-time roles, and competitive pay of $22–$26 per hour, including night and weekend differentials.

Qualifications

• Must have Texas LVN license and CPR certification.
• Valid driver''s license and auto liability insurance.
• Minimum 6 months of pediatric home health experience as an LVN required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes during 8–12-hour shifts.
• Care for children with serious illnesses, medical complexities, disabilities, or those recovering from injuries or extensive surgery.
• Assess patient conditions during each visit, monitor vital signs, seizures, and care for G-tubes, tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and per plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the inter-disciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance
• Minimum of 6 months of pediatric home health experience as an LVN required
• Provide skilled one-on-one nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes during 8–12-hour shifts, allowing them to remain safely with their families instead of an inpatient facility
• Care for children with serious illnesses, medical complexities, disabilities, or those recovering from injuries or extensive surgery
• Assess patient conditions during each visit, including monitoring vital signs, seizure activity, and providing care for gastrostomy tubes (G-tubes), tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to the individualized plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
