Qualifications

• College degree or the equivalent in work related experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nursing.
• Active state LVN license.
• Listed in good standing as confirmed on Nurse Registry.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long term care is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Administers enteral feedings along with oral, injectable, and intravenous medications and treatments within the LVN scope of practice as prescribed by the physician and per facility policy.
• Ensures delivery of care to residents by nursing assistants is completed within established time frames.
• Performs and co-responsible for narcotic counts as per Resident Care policies.
• Ensures dispensing of medications and treatments by all routes as ordered by the physician within established time frames.
• Documents medication and treatment administration in a timely and accurate manner.
• Completes/updates the Electronic documentation as required.
• Maintains and updates Nursing license in compliance with state regulations.
