Job summary

Montclair Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. This role supports psychosocial, physical and general care needs in a fast-paced ER environment. The ideal candidate holds a valid LVN license, current BLS, and IV certification; BW certification preferred.

Shift: Days. Full-time.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and triage in the ER.
• Meet psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care and communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family; Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
