Job summary

Arcadia Nursing & Rehab Center in Hillsboro, Texas is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for 12-hour shifts (6A-6P or 6P-6A) in a home-like setting with a dedicated management team and shift differentials.

The LVN will provide safe, compassionate nursing care, administer meds, monitor residents, and document care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to meet individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Texas LVN license or be eligible to practice.
• Graduate of an approved vocational nursing program.
• Current CPR certification preferred/required according to facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and resident-centered nursing care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to the supervising RN or provider.
• Perform focused nursing assessments and document resident care accurately.
• Assist with wound care, vital signs, treatments, and other nursing procedures within LVN scope of practice.
• Participate in implementing and evaluating individualized care plans.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, RNs, CNAs, and other members of the healthcare team.

What will you do as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

• Provide safe, compassionate, and resident-centered nursing care.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.

• Graduate of an approved vocational nursing program.

• Previous skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing experience preferred.

• Strong communication, organization, and clinical skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Reliable attendance and professional attitude.

• Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
