Job summary

CVS Health in Allen, TX is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a full-time role (30-35 hours/week) primarily at our Allen clinic, with possible float to nearby clinics. Pay is $24-30/hr, plus weekend shift differential, based on experience.

You will administer medications, assess patients, collaborate with care teams, document in EMR (Epic preferred), and support patient education and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Active and in good standing state LVN or LPN license.
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-PN.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation standards.
• Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working in a clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics among staff and patients.
• Proven ability to manage sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
• Evaluate complex patient conditions, monitor pain levels, and document treatment responses.
• Apply advanced knowledge of vital sign monitoring to identify and record abnormalities.
• Perform routine assessments to monitor patient health and ensure overall well-being.
• Manage patient access to healthcare and connect individuals with community resources.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects and drug interactions.
• Develop and administer mental health assessments to screen for depression and evaluate mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Accurately document patient medical history using electronic health records.
• Use excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families and other healthcare professionals

• Accurately document patient medical history—including illnesses, medications, allergies, surgeries, and family history—using electronic health records.

Educational Qualifications

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $22.40 - $48.67 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
