Job summary

Southview Animal Hospital & Urgent Care in West St. Paul, MN seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our General Practice & Exotic Animal Medicine team.

You’ll provide skilled care across diverse patients and collaborate with veterinarians to deliver exceptional care. Responsibilities include wellness visits, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, and client education on preventative care, nutrition, and husbandry.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Veterinary Technician credential applicable to Minnesota practice.
• At least one year of veterinary medicine experience.
• Exotic animal experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn is important.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to a diverse patient range including exotic species.
• Support wellness visits, diagnostics, treatments, anesthesia monitoring, and other clinical procedures.
• Educate clients on preventative care, nutrition, husbandry, and chronic disease management.
• Use fear-free and species-appropriate handling to promote patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Continue developing skills through training, mentorship, and opportunities to explore clinical interests.
