Job Overview

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Licensed Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician to join their fast‑paced Internal Medicine department in Town Center, VA.

Compensation

Pay: $20.00 – $40.00 / hour. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

Join our dynamic veterinary team as we expand our practice to offer cutting‑edge internal medicine services. We are seeking a passionate and skilled veterinary technician to work in our internal medicine department, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex medical conditions. This opportunity allows you to collaborate with a dedicated team, utilizing state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic tools and treatment modalities to deliver the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculate all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
• Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations.
• Additional job duties as assigned.
