Best Friends Animal Hospital and Urgent Care Center in Billings, MT is seeking an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced, supportive team. You will triage patients, assist with emergencies, manage records, and support surgical and diagnostic care on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician credential preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a veterinary hospital preferred.
• Strong technical and patient care skills.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration.
• Strong communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and assist with emergency care as needed.
• Obtain thorough patient histories and maintain accurate treatment records.
• Administer and dispense medications as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection.
• Assist with surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery.
• Perform diagnostic imaging and support diagnostic testing.
• Calculate medication dosages accurately and safely.
• Assist with CPR and emergency patient care when needed.
• Educate clients on preventative care, treatments, and patient needs.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care.
