Hebron Animal Hospital in Hebron, KY is seeking a dedicated veterinary technician to join our six-doctor small animal team. You will work closely with doctors on triage, treatment plans, and nursing care while collecting samples and assisting with imaging and anesthesia management.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky veterinary technician license or eligibility.
• 1+ years of professional experience preferred; motivated new LVTs encouraged to apply.
• Confident with low-stress restraint, sample collection, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and medical record maintenance.
• Team-first communicator who educates clients and collaborates with doctors and staff.
• Thrives in a fast-paced veterinary environment while staying calm, organized and compassionate.
• Growth-minded LVT interested in mentorship, continuing education, and leadership opportunities.
• Availability for some Saturday shifts and reliability in scheduled hours.
• Commitment to ethics and continuous learning and exposure to animal hazards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with doctors on triage, treatment plans, and nursing care for stable and critical patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin).
• Capture diagnostic images (radiographs, dental radiographs when applicable).
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia from induction to recovery.
• Support dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, therapy laser, ultrasound, and in-house diagnostics.
• Communicate clearly with clients to keep them informed and confident in care.
• Model safe, low-stress handling and Fear Free principles for patients and teammates.
• Help shape technician workflows, training, and standards as the hospital grows.
