Job summary

Cicero Animal Clinic in Brewerton, NY is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to support outpatient care and surgical procedures. You will manage exam rooms, assist in anesthesia, perform in-house lab work, and mentor junior staff while delivering compassionate client communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active, good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license in New York required.
• Proficient clinical skills including radiology, phlebotomy, SQ injections.
• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Surgical assistance and aseptic technique.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Cytology and in-house laboratory diagnostics.
• Independent outpatient procedures and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments and outpatient procedures with confidence and autonomy.
• Manage exam room workflow, tech appointments, and client demonstrations.
• Provide safe and effective sedation for routine and outpatient needs.
• Lead and support anesthesia monitoring through surgical caseloads.
• Run diagnostic laboratory equipment and interpret in-house results.
• Drive client education and communication with clarity and compassion.
• Mentor and support junior team members while collaborating with veterinarians.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation.
