VCA Kalamazoo is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for our 24/7/365 emergency, critical care, and specialty center in Portage, MI. The role supports doctors, monitors anesthesia, and helps ensure compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician with anesthesia monitoring.
• Ability to collect histories and perform physical exams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor anesthesia and patient status.
• Assist with radiology and safety protocols (hands-free radiology).
• Record histories and perform exams to support patient care.
• Collaborate with doctors and other hospital services to ensure quality care.

This role has a $4,000 sign-on bonus. Bonus paid at 30 days and has a mandatory 12-month retention period

We are a 24/7/365 emergency, critical care and specialty practice, located in Portage, MI and we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team of dedicated medical professionals.

Technician Duties

• Anesthesia monitoring
• Collecting patient histories & physical exams
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients

Compensation

Compensation: $24.00 - $34.00 / hour dependent on experience, skill set and licensure status

Schedule: Full time, varies

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
