PetVet Care Centers’ Whitesburg Animal Hospital in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team and provide high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with current license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with veterinary appointments, surgeries, and nursing care for hospitalized/critical patients.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• 18 years of age or older for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by determining animal requirements and conducting examinations.
• Assist during surgery and operations and maintain medical supplies.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and document treatments.
• Maintain patient medical records and update databases accurately.
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status under veterinarian guidance.
• Ensure a clean and safe hospital environment and assist with triage.
