Job summary

Woodlake Animal Hospital in Midlothian, Virginia is seeking a full-time licensed veterinary technician to join our AAHA accredited hospital. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing exceptional client service and veterinary care for pets and their families within a positive culture.

Qualifications

• Virginia RVT license in good standing within 30 days.
• Full-time availability with weekdays.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate all hospital instruments.
• Keep a clean, organized, sanitary hospital environment.
• Take accurate patient histories and communicate with clients and staff.
• Perform or assist in diagnostic procedures (blood work, radiographs, urine, ear cytology, anesthesia monitoring).
• Catheter placements and blood draws at multiple access points.
• Work efficiently under stressful situations.
• Medication calculation, preparation, and administration.
• Obtain digital radiographs, including dental.
• Other duties as assigned.
