Job summary

Long Lake Animal Hospital in Traverse City, MI is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited, Fear Free certified hospital. You will work with our experienced team providing high-quality patient care and utilizing your full skill set in a supportive environment.

We offer a four-day work week, competitive compensation, ongoing education, and collaboration with eight veterinarians.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
  • Licensed in good standing in the applicable state.
  • Proficient in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology and laboratory procedures.
  • Calm, efficient, and able to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer treatments and monitor anesthesia.
  • Perform nursing tasks, surgery support, dental care, radiology and lab work.
  • Educate clients and guide pet owners on care plans.
  • Mentor and support other team members to maintain workflow.

As an AAHA-accredited and Fear Free Certified hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care while empowering our technicians to utilize their full skill set in a supportive, progressive environment.

Hospital Hours

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Urgent Care Hours

  • Tuesday–Thursday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Friday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Tentative Schedule

  • Occasional Urgent Care coverage
