Job summary

VCA Stafford Oaks Animal Hospital in Stafford, TX is hiring Licensed Veterinary Technicians. We offer competitive pay ($20.00-$27.00/hour) based on experience and licensing, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus for licensed candidates. Full-time, 40 hours a week.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform clinical tasks under supervision of veterinarians.
• Weekend and closing shift availability required.
• Preferred CVT, RVT, or LVT credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support doctors and techs in clinical tasks.
• Conduct physical exams and patient assessments.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgery prep.
• Perform dentistry and radiology tasks.
• Venipuncture, catheter placement, and lab work.
• Administer medications and provide patient care.

What You'll Do:

As a Veterinary Technician at VCA Stafford Oaks, you'll support our doctors and fellow techs to provide an exceptional experience for our patients and pet parents. Your skill set will shine across a variety of clinical tasks, including:

• Physical exams and patient assessments
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical prep
• Dentistry and radiology
• Venipuncture, catheter placement, lab work
• Medication administration and pharmacy duties
• Compassionate care for hospitalized animals
