Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician for Deerfield Animal Hospital in San Antonio, TX. You will join a five-DVM team delivering comprehensive care, from wellness to urgent procedures, with telemedicine support via Airvet as needed.

The role emphasizes nursing, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, lab work, and client education. AVMA-accredited program graduate with a valid state license is preferred; 1 year of experience is desirable.

  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
  • A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
  • Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced situations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
  • Lead and mentor the medical team to maintain efficient workflows and skill development.
  • Partner with clients, educate on treatments, review medical records, and answer questions.
