Hartrick Veterinary Clinic in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited hospital. This full-time role offers a diverse caseload, mentorship, and a pathway to credentialed growth within a supportive network.

Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician in Michigan.
- Current state license in good standing.
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and treatment for hospitalized and outpatient patients.
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures.
- Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs and ultrasound.
- Obtain and process laboratory samples.
- Educate clients on medications, treatments, and home care.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with doctors and the veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care.

Hartrick is a full-service, AAHA-accredited small-animal hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, diagnostic, and urgent-care services for dogs and cats. We are also Fear Free-focused and Cat Friendly Certified®.
- Provide nursing care and treatment for hospitalized and outpatient patients
- Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery and provide post-operative care
- Perform and assist with dental procedures
- Obtain and process laboratory samples
- Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs and ultrasound
- Monitor hospitalized patients and provide treatments
- Assist with urgent-care cases and patient triage
- Educate clients on medications, treatments, and home care
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with doctors and the veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
- Advanced medical cases
- Soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery
- TPLO/CCL procedures
- Laparoscopic surgery
- Dental procedures and oral surgery
- Ultrasound and endoscopy
- In-house diagnostics and hospitalization

- Utilize Your Full Skillset: You’ll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
- Be a Leader and Mentor: You’ll guide and support the medical team, ensuring an efficient workflow while mentoring others to help them grow their skills and careers.
- Partner with Clients: You’ll be a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions.
- Contribute to a Positive Culture: You’ll play an active role in training, providing feedback, and maintaining the high standards of our hospital environment.
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
