Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health in Nashville, TN is looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their team as a Hospital Float. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $21 to $33 per hour based on experience, along with a $2,500 sign-on bonus for licensed candidates.

Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN is looking to add an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to our team as a Hospital Float!

Compensation: $21 - $33/hr, based on experience. Additional shift and weekend differentials offered.

Requirements for the Role
  • Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, with specialty experience in surgery and internal medicine. LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT license required. Must obtain Tennessee Licensure within 90 days of start date.
  • Have a broad understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.
  • Possesses a calm demeanor in stressful situations, with critical thinking skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.

While performing the duties of any of these positions, the employee is frequently required to bend, stand, stoop, walk, sit, talk, and listen; may be required to walk or stand for long periods of time; will use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; will reach with hands and arms. The employee is often required to lift and carry animals weighing fifty pounds or more; handle dogs weighing up to 150 pounds.
