Job summary
Carolina Forest Veterinary Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC seeks a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) to join our seven-doctor team. You will assist doctors, perform venipuncture, collect labs, and support dental and surgical procedures while delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications
- Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credentials required.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
- Strong technical skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist doctors with appointments, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Perform venipuncture and laboratory sample collection.
- Administer medications and vaccines per protocols.
- Provide client education on preventive care and treatment plans.
- Assist with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring.
- Perform dental cleanings and complete dental charting.
- Maintain accurate medical records.

Carolina Forest Veterinary Hospital is a high-volume, small animal clinic caring exclusively for dogs and cats. We’re looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) who thrives in a busy environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
- Assist doctors with appointments, diagnostics, and treatments
- Perform venipuncture and laboratory sample collection
- Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with protocols
- Provide client education on preventive care and treatment plans
- Assist with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring

- Utilize Your Full Skillset: You'll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
- Be a Leader and Mentor: You’ll guide and support the medical team, ensuring an efficient workflow while mentoring others to help them grow their skills and careers.
- Partner with Clients: You'll be a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions.
- Contribute to a Positive Culture: You'll play an active role in training, providing feedback, and maintaining the high standards of our hospital environment.
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license (LVT) in good standing.
- Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast‑paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
