Position Options & Responsibilities

Option 1: Spay/Neuter Clinic Focus

Work in our high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter clinic serving shelter pets and owned animals.

Responsibilities include:

Patient intake and pre-operative preparation
Venipuncture and catheter placement
Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
Surgical assistance
Accurate anesthesia record keeping
Dental cleanings as needed
Post-operative care and client education
Maintaining sterile surgical environment and instrument care
This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy efficiency, anesthesia monitoring, and helping prevent pet overpopulation.

Option 2: Shelter Medicine Focus

Work directly with animals in our shelter environment, providing daily medical care and supporting lifesaving efforts.

Responsibilities include:

Daily medical treatments and medication administration
Vaccine administration and intake exams
Diagnostic sample collection and laboratory work
Monitoring and treatment of medical and surgical cases
Supporting humane care
Collaboration with all departments
Maintaining detailed medical records

Option 3: Combined Role
