Job summary

Rice Creek Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and client service. The role includes assisting veterinarians in exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery, performing technical tasks, and maintaining medical records.

The ideal candidate is a licensed veterinary technician with compassion for animals, strong communication with clients, and familiarity with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Salary: $22.00-$30.00 per hour dependent on skills and experience. $1,000 Sign On Bonus!

Schedule: This is a full-time position consisting of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM. The schedule includes a 1-hour lunch break and one set weekday off. No weekend hours required!
