Job summary

Rice Creek Animal Hospital in Minnesota is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care for patients and support for veterinarians. The role emphasizes compassionate animal handling and clear client communication, with duties spanning exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.

The ideal candidate will have LVT credentials, be knowledgeable about common diseases, maintain accurate records, and follow all hospital safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Salary: $22.00-$30.00 per hour dependent on skills and experience. $1,000 Sign On Bonus!

Schedule: This is a full-time position consisting of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM. The schedule includes a 1-hour lunch break and one set weekday off.No weekend hours required!
